At Watauga Medical Center, seven Orthopedic surgeons, all Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, perform a variety of surgeries.

  • Dr. Bensen: General Orthopedics and Joint Replacements; Additional Qualifications - Fellowship Trained in Sports Medicine
  • Dr. Califf: American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
    Dr. DeVault: American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
    Dr. Ekman: American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
  • Dr. Fleming: General Orthopedics and Joint Replacements; Additional Qualifications in Hand Surgery/Fellowship Trained
  • Dr. Newell: General Orthopedics and Joint Replacements
  • Dr. Sloboda: General Orthopedics and Joint Replacements; Additional Qualifications - Sports Medicine

  • Total Joint Replacements: The Joint Replacement Program began 'Joint Class' in October 2010 at Watauga Medical Center. The class provides pre-op education to patients and their "coach" and takes approximately one hour.
