Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (ARHS) welcomes students as they are exploring healthcare career paths at all our facilities. At Blowing Rock Rehabilitation & Davant Extended Care Center, Cannon Memorial Hospital and Watauga Medical Center, students can shadow a health care professional, observe a specific specialty or participate in an internship to meet class requirements.  The Career Pathways Department connects students with a customized educational experience. Clinical rotations are available at each hospital.

ARHS's Behavioral Health internship program offers students the unique opportunity to experience inpatient, outpatient, and EAP services. Learn more about an Internship with our Behavioral Health Department.

For more information on career exploration, please contact the Career Pathways Department at (828) 737-7538.
