AppUrgent Care Center is Now Open at Temporary Location

Illnesses and injuries don’t happen at convenient times, but AppUrgent Care Center offers convenient walk-in care for patients with non-life threatening illness or injury – sore throats, sprains, fever, flu, cuts that require stitches and more.

Staffed by physicians, AppUrgent Care is a reliable, cost-effective alternative to the emergency room.

“For residents, AppUrgent can be utilized when an appointment is not available with their primary care provider or if they do not have a primary care provider,” said Gillian Baker, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Appalachian Regional Healthcare System. “For visitors, it will give them an opportunity to seek care while remaining in the high country, close to their leisure activities.”

Temporarily located at 400 Shadowline Drive, AppUrgent Care is open Monday through Friday from 8 am – 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9 am – 5pm.  Drop by or call (828) 265-5505.

In 2012, AppUrgent Care Center will move to it’s permanent location at 2146 Blowing Rock Road in Boone, next to Walgreens.
